How to recover my cordless drill that I fell into 24 feet of water?

I left my cordless drill in the lake and I want him out and see if I can fix it. I do not want to hire a diver or anything. Any ideas on a cheap way to get it. I know where it is located within a radius of two meters. The drill housing is plastic, so I'm afraid that a magnet will not work.
