What can you do if your baby’s head got flat?

Probably from staying too long on the back, my baby (6 months) has now a flat head. The doctor said it will get better in time, after sitting. Did you have this kind of problem? It gets better? Should I do something about it? What should I do?

This is sooo disturbing to hear that doctors are still telling parents “don’t worry, it will reshape itself”. Please check out the petition of almost 10,000 parents trying to get the American Academy of Pediatrics to stop these doctors because “1 in 60 babies have a cephalic disorder, known as Positional Plagiocephaly” and need treatment for it, and are not told about it until is often to late. You can ask your doctor or an orthotist whether your child may need treatment such as a helmet or something less invasive such as vigilant repostioning.
