How do i make a simple door closer for my room?

i hate getting up to close my room door. is there a simple door closing mechanism i can make at home for under 5 dollars. i don’t want it to be too big. ill even try any idea that are to do with knex. Thanks for any ideas. i know im lazy.

p.s. i dont want to nail anything into the door.

Doors are supposed to close by themselves.

How to Adjust storm door Closers

Storm and screen doors sometimes develop warped or damaged frames. To prevent problems caused by excessive force, keep hinges oiled and check the latches connected properly.  Be sure to keep door closers adjusted and working smoothly to prevent the screen or storm door from banging back and forth.  Either slamming or incomplete closing can indicate either the need for adjustment or the need for replacement of door closers.
While installing the hinge, measure the spot of installation on the wall and the door to make sure that the hinges match up before screwing them in. Slide the door back onto the hinges. Before securing with the hinge pins, use a level to make sure that the door is even. Put in pins and test the door to make sure that it opens and closes smoothly. To adjust the closing speed of a pneumatic closer, turn the adjustment screw in the end cap.
The closing rate can also be adjusted by making adjustments at the mounting bracket on the door.  The tension on the internal spring in the closer can be increased by the mounting bracket.  This is known as preloading.   This is a good way to increase the closing force, especially in the last few inches of door closure if the door is not latching.  The problem, though, is that this adjustment can decrease the amount the door will open.  So check the total out swing of the door when making this adjustment.
Another type of closer available is hydraulic door closer, which uses light oil instead of air as a control fluid.  As the door closes, the internal spring forces oil to move at a controlled rate between two compartments inside the closer. The only time you would see the oil is if the unit malfunctioned. Hydraulic closers don’t have an adjustment screw, but instead are generally adjusted by physically rotating the body of the closer on the piston.  Because the flow of oil is easier to control with precision, these closers work more smoothly than air-controlled closers. The cost of these units is a little higher, but not staggeringly so. When replacing a hydraulic closer, be sure you buy the appropriate kind, depending on whether your door opens right or left.
